After an unfortunate fire accident totaled Mr. Barbers childhood home, our only option was to demolish the existing structure, rise from the ashes and build his new dream home. We always enjoy building new homes with old history. We were able to redesign and modernize his childhood home while integrating some details from his old home to keep connected to the past!
Designed to accommodate today’s busy lifestyles, new homes feature open floor plans, flexible spaces, low-maintenance materials and other amenities that make them more appealing than ever before.
Nobody knows your wants and needs better than you do, and having so much control over the details that fit your home to your taste and lifestyle is quite a luxury. The advantages of being the first owner extend to the outdoors. Instead of inheriting inconveniently or precariously placed trees, or having to tear up overgrown shrubs, you can design and plant the lawn and garden you want.
- Less maintenance costs in the first few years
- Exterior and interior customization
- Modern floor plans
- Energy efficiency
We learned long ago there is only one way to build a log cabin…fake it! This home is constructed like a traditional stick-built home. We then add log siding and cedar 1×12 and 1×8’s on the interior walls and ceilings to give the look, feel, and smell of a new log cabin. By doing this, it is more effective and efficient. For an example, you are able to avoid chink insulation and opt for a much higher efficacy bat or blown in option. This is one of the many reasons why we build our log homes the RCC way.

New homes are built to meet current building codes, are often more energy efficient, and can incorporate up-to-date technology. For the first few years, you’re less likely to deal with big-ticket maintenance issues like leaky roofs or failing heating and cooling systems in a newly built home.
Customization is another huge benefit. You’ll get to personalize the details of your house when you’re building a house from the ground up; from the layout , cabinets and flooring to the sinks, lighting, paint colors and doorknobs!
